As winter approaches our search for the perfect coat begins once again. I always fall into the trap of finding imaginary faults with my already perfect jackets just so I can find - the one.

You know the one when you see it. You fantasize about it, dream about it, plan your life (outfits) around it.....much like falling in love......only with a coat.

But then the break - up happens. The summer comes and you drift apart. No longer needing the comfort of a familiar coat. Until September comes around once more and you long for the supple softness of a suede or a fluffy wool jacket wrapped around your a/w 2009 rehash wardrobe.

Because in winter, a good coat is the first thing most people see. (Closely followed by the designer bag) so feast your eyes on the new Helmut Lang coats to hit BT on Grafton street......not cheap. But worth the investment? If your unlike me and replace your coat once a century. Then these could be worth the investment. Quality coat-age!
