Hi all,
I am back with another set of Milani products. Before anything else I need to share something. This is my first IMBB Sponsored Product and I am so, so grateful to IMBB for this opportunity. You have given a new zeal to my life and I will forever be grateful to you guys. Thanks Rati, Sanjeev Ji, Jomol, and everyone working for IMBB. Moving on, I came across new Milani Baked Bronzers and picked up two of them: Glow and Soleil. I will be reviewing Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow today.
Price: INR 1125 (7gms)
Product Description:
Crafted on Italian terracotta tiles, Baked Bronzer is all about a streak-free glow with a slight shimmer finish. Choose from soft gold to tantalizingly tan and dust it lightly on face and body—anywhere and everywhere you want to glow.
Application:
Glide brush over color and lightly tap off excess powder. Lightly apply to cheeks, forehead, chin and/or nose and blend well for a soft glow.
Ingredients:
Talc, Mica, Dimethicone, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Polysorbate 20, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Isohexadecane, Polysorbate 80, Sorbitan Stearate, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).
My Experience with Milani Baked Bronzer 04 Glow:
Baked products are a revolution in the market. The marbleized soft look is tantalizing enough to empty our pockets. These products are initially creams which are baked over a period of time so that they dry to powders. The baking process makes them creamy and velvety.
They have fewer filler ingredients so they are more pigmented. Baked products are more luminous, vibrant quality. Another great feature is that because of their origin as a liquid, the powders can be used dry or wet.
The packaging is same as every other Milani baked product – golden box with a transparent top. Under the powder pan are the brush and mirror. If not regularly, you can surely rely on this brush when you are travelling and mirror is always a boon. I found the packaging quite bulky, though.
The shade has been described as “Light Golden Tan with Golden Shimmer” on the website. The first thing you will notice is it does not look very different from Soleil. To me, it looks more like a highlighter than a bronzer. It gives a very light bronzy shade on skin – not enough to give the skin a bronzed or tanned look.
It can be used as a very mild highlighter for daily use or even for other body parts like shoulders, collar bone etc. When it comes to texture I did not find it very finely milled or velvety. It is definitely not very smooth to touch. The powder, however, comes too much in the brush, so initial TAP is an absolute must.
Pros of Milani Baked Bronzer 04 Glow:
• Vegan
• Brush given in the package
• Mirror given in the package
• Good quantity
Cons of Milani Baked Bronzer 04 Glow:
• Shimmer can be con for some
• Pricey in India
• Not an ideal bronzing shade at all
• Bulky packaging
• Fall out
IMBB Rating: 2/5
Would I Recommend Milani Baked Bronzer 04 Glow?
This isn’t a very impressive product. From a bronzer perspective, it doesn’t do the job properly and from a highlighter perspective there are tons of better option in the market. I make no bones in not recommending this to anyone.
